So I figured I’d start off my blog with some information about me. I was born in CT and moved to Tampa Bay FL when I was about 12. I went through hell there for many years, partly due to my own stupid actions and partly due to the actions of others. I was very overweight and socially awkward, not to mention mixed race and dealing with budding bipolar disorder and major depression. As a result, I had few friends in school, I made poor choices about the “friends” I did have and ended up dropping out at age 16. Since my parents are both college graduates and extremely intelligent people, not continuing my schooling did not ever really occur to me. I got my GED within a week of dropping out and enrolled in community college.
